I've experienced something similar. I think you maybe cant change the delivery length so late in the process anymore. We used to be able to change up to the start of the delivery stride and prior to the pitch marker being displayed.

Worst thing about the block and run is when the bowler goes after the ball which has stopped dead and proceeds to perform a long barrier to pick up the ball... Yet I hardly ever see a long barrier used in the outfield elsewhere even when the ball is hit hard at a fielder.

I would hate to complain about being run out but this is still not fixed.
