Wasn't referring to the Karachi angle, obviously doesn't make sense since Azam is also from there. But there definitely was lots of media support for Sarfraz being in the squad. Babar wanted him, Hafeez and Malik, apparently, so I guess that was the main reason. Sarfraz brings nothing to the team in terms of batting, he's an anchor who cannot bat below 4. Azam is already a world class spin hitter in the middle order, which is exactly what we're missing. Asif and Khushdil are better pace hitters.
I agree with this 100%. Sarfaraz's inclusion can only make sense if he only plays against Afghanistan, as they are heavily reliant on spinners, and Sarfaraz plays spin well.

Plus Pakistan have got the definition of a backup wicket-keeper wrong. Backup wicket-keeper is someone who can keep if needed, but he should also be good enough to make the XI based on his batting alone. It would be very rare if Sarfaraz is even required as a wicket-keeper because that needs Rizwan to get injured in the first place. Sarfaraz, however, will quite likely be needed as the replacement batsman in the XI for the likes of Asif Ali/Malik etc. That is where Azam Khan would have edged him, that too with ease.

For Sarfaraz to fit in the XI, he has to bat in the top #4. Tell me where does he fit?

Babar
Rizwan
Haider
Fakhar/Hafeez/Malik

There's no place for Sarfaraz. The only way he can get in the XI realistically is when Asif and Malik fail. And he can not fulfill that aggressor role, as well as Azam can. Simple.

Exactly. Sarfraz is not useful with the bat in this team.

Someone needs to seriously hijack Sri Lanka's jersey makers and get them to design jerseys for their own countries. :D
Definitely, I don't know what did the designer smoke...

Love the Sri Lankan jersey. Indian jersey too looks cool. So far the best jersey belongs to Scotland.

Omg! I cannot support the country, if they wear this ridiculous stuff. Someone, please get rid of MPL and get back Nike.

It is getting ridiculous by the minute!

I knew India's jersey would not be that good, and I am right!! Such amateurish designs. Even kids these days on social media make better designs. :facepalm:noway Also India decide to not release the official T20 WC jersey and release a bilateral series version of it first. The T20 WC logo is not present, and also MPL and BYJU's cannot be present on the front of the official WC jersey.

What's with the newfound love for navy blue? I understand the saffron connection (BJP) but why is the 'lighter blue' color phased out completely?
