Hyderabad, Sindh or Hyderabad, Telangana? :grat:
The crowd was beautiful.

Alas! As far as Hyderabad, Sindh is concerned the stadium there is in ruins. Its a shame considering that its the only ground where Pakistan has not lost a match, which witnessed first ODI hatrick, and Jawed Miandad scored highest score of 280* in test cricket.

Let's just take a moment and applaud the Indian/Hyderabadi crowd for showing up in such a number and making some noise. From the little bit I have seen most of the matches appear to have taken place in almost empty stadia.

Both of Bangladesh’s games have had good crowds too. I wonder what it would have been like if the schedule was released much earlier and we had a lot more foreigners attending, this was a golden opportunity to bring in a lot of tourism on the back of a big event. Especially since the infrastructure has improved across India since the last time we held a big tournament.

I would have want to see at least see one Pakistan match but I doubt it I will get a visa

People genuinely love cricket in India. I'd say it is true across the subcontinent. Am pretty sure , India will receive the same treatment (rather better) in 2025 in Pakistan.(hopefully we go)

I am expecting some changes to the line-up today. Also, if Dravid is keen on making them, I'd like to see them try SKY as an opener- as it is ,he is a failure in the format- wouldn't hurt if he fails as an opener.

Yeah, it is kind of a tough toss up between Ruturaj and Jaiswal. If one is to match the radical nature, then perhaps Jaiswal is the best bet. If not, Ruturaj comes in-but he is more classical- Kohli-esque in his performances.

Going by selection blunders- I am not ruling out a left field replacement in Samson or Tilak either.

So we’re getting a grand gala in the pre-match ceremony for India-Pak… while the BCCI opted to not conduct an opening ceremony for the tournament.

How blatantly shameless can you be? :lol
Asia Cup was a trial, this is now mainstream.

The reasons for boycotting Pakistan suddenly don't exist, we’re gonna have naach gaana and fireworks and celebrities to celebrate India vs Pakistan at the Modi Stadium :laughter:
Hypocrisy at its finest by the BCCI and Say Jhah

Afterall, it is the 1st, the biggest and the last event that would be hosted in Ahmedabad for years to come....:grinning:
