This just surprised me as to how did Afghanistan come this close to even threaten Australia of an upset? 2 seamers and 4 spinners for Afghanistan at WANKHEDE??? WTH? Did Afghanistan not have an additional seamer for these conditions?

I never doubted Australia's chances even when they were 91-7. The reason Naveen and Omarzai were held back in the middle overs was because if they were bowled out and Australia play them out, the win could've come even faster. Afghanistan with their team makeup, had NO CHANCE whatsoever! Conditions are king, and Afghanistan had the worst team for these conditions.

I feel sad saying that as they have played so well throughout the tournament but they lack that extra bit of spice to win the big moments and beating Pakistan will essentially be regarded as winning their world cup, much like Bangladesh in 1999.

He’s always been better when his mind is decluttered and he has a singular purpose at the crease to execute the plan. There was a time when him and Carey single handedly took Australia from a dire position to win the game against a rampant England side few years ago.
