A funny story!!

It was a warm afternoon and after a good couple of days play, the test match between England and Australia was drawing to a close, a race to the finish. I needed 190 runs to beat Aus and win the Ashes, but unfortunately I was 110/7, trescothick the latest to go. It all looked dull, but i played on.

Finally the last over came, 180/8, I had put on a dismal display of batting and was lucky to be anywhere near the desired score. The next six balls went as followed:

1st bowl: a wicket! my own created player missing the ball, wickets smashed!
2nd ball:a single, a nice sweep gaining a single run,, 181/9!!
3rd: a six! phew, a nice advance down wicket slog to bring me near!
4th: defended, remember I am on my last wicket also! 187/9
5th, missed some good bolwing meaning i needed a four on my last ball to win!
6th: couldn't handle it, prised myself from my indentation mark in my sofa to get a beer,, the fourth of the test day!

i decided to make the last ball hang for a bit, make the overall game more intense. I hear from the front room, 'this the new cricket game you been banging on about' then a cheer.

6th ball: my Dad bless his muthaf***** soul, had hit the four! dont know how dont know why, he hits the ball over the nearing fielders, the ball bouncing past the jumping ponting, and past the boundry!

The point is, bharat, that he was building himself up to the last ball, making the moment last, when his dad picks up the controller and smashes the winning runs.
And promote alcohol consumption? Get a life mate.
