This is a lot more challenging but it will highlight just how strong some domestic teams really have been over the years.

One rule to implement is what NSW used when selecting their teams - players must have begun their career with that team. You can choose to include any other rule, such as performance for the domestic team rather than country which is how Glenn McGrath was ruled out but strangely enough wasn't enough to get Mo Matthews in to the team.

The official All-Time NSW XII is

Arthur Morris
Bob Simpson
Don Bradman
Victor Trumper
Charlie Macartney
Steve Waugh
Billy Murdoch
Richie Benaud
Alan Davidson
Ray Lindwall
Charles Turner
Bill O'Reilly

They didn't officially name a 12th man but it would be either Benaud or Lindwall.

Barbados would have a great team

Gordon Greenidge
Desmond Haynes
Conrad Hunte
Everton Weekes
Garfield Sobers
Frank Worrell
Clyde Wallcott
Malcolm Marshall
Joel Garner
Wes Hall
Charlie Griffith

I'd be interested to see teams for Yorkshire, Surrey, Mumbai etc.

All-time Yorkshire XI

:aus: :bat: Darren Lehmann :os:

:eng: :ar: Wilfred Rhodes
:eng: :wk: David Bairstow
:eng: :bwl: Fred Trueman
:eng: :bwl: Hedley Verity
:eng: :bwl: Bob Appleyard

Of course that's completely subjective, because there are far too many great ex-Yorkshire players to fit them all into a team.
