Ashes-2023 England VS Australia 16 June-31 July

More umpires need to troll Broad in that way.

Please bring Bairstow as the keeper for your next tour here too.
Yeah I agree, as an Australian I'm happy to see Bairstow with the gloves on. I'm not disagreeing he shouldn't be in the team, but he can't be the keeper. You can get away with someone like him in T20 cricket, but this series proves you can't at test level.

Broad’s about to do one of his things isn’t he?

As "best" what? Better average, far less ability. Absolutely unarguable except possibly amongst blind cricket fans.

You’re entitled to your opinion but it isn’t unarguable by any measure.

No, I'm winding you up a bit.

But seriously, VR's ball striking is definitely off the scale. Smith's definitely isn't.

And I suspect strongly if you throw Smith into a 70s series against Lillee / Thomson or the WI battery, with a shitty 70s bat and equipment and no helmet, he's finishing that series in hospital after the first game.

Hitting isn’t the only measure of success in test cricket though is it?

The last sentence is just the typical “back in my day” statement that only cricket fans can come up with.
