Although i think Warne will be the Key factor,i think that the quickies might sneak up unnoticed and take the wickets.Thats the problem with playing such a good team.
Wow Kallis is actually scoring quite quickly by his standards SA aren't out of this match but they desperately need a big partnerhip from Kallis and Prince. Kallis needs to deliver today and a total in excess of 200 would be pretty good but still fancy Aus chasing it down if one of the top 3 fires. The ghost from Australia came back and haunt SA again. Costly drop of Ponting.
Aus aren't weak at chasing mid range totals, its the small ones. I don't remember us losing many matches when chasing 200 odd mainly cause we never have to chase that much. Under that and the ghost start to come in.
Full credit to Hayden for hanging in there and grinding it out , sometimes riding his luck yes, but it would have been so easy for him to get sick and tired of leaving balls alone and getting beaten and try to blast his way out of trouble.
South Africa need Kallis to do the same and others to chip in to get a lead of around 250 or else this might get over in quick time.
150 will not be enough. Probably Hayden or Ponting would score half those runs. 200 would prbably be a more realistic total and 250 would be a rather imposing total.
With a lead of 24 and Boucher gone before lunch, SA's prospects aren't looking too bright. Hopefully these two can build a partnership and frustrate Australia a little to salvage a contest, but with the momentum they have, and Warne still fresh and up Ponting's sleeve, the Africans will have alot to think about. It might be interesting to hear Smith's comments.
