The main question to be asked -what happens to these performers post the WT20? Do the likes of Iyer and Sanju get longer ropes/ more chances over the WT20 guys in ODIs? I would want to think so, but going by some baffling decisions made by the Indian board, wont put my money on it,

I feel that was unfair on Siraj's part to argue about the boundary (if that is what the talk was about). If he was attempting a run out (and would have almost certainly appealed had the ball hit the stumps), he shouldn't have an issue with the umpire declaring it as overthrows.

Isn’t Shreyas the incumbent for the number four/five role along with Pant? SKY hasn’t really done anything notable in ODIs to be the first choice so far and they would be delusional to want Dhawan in this scratchy form as a first choice opener in the near future with Rahul wanting to be an opener too.

Samson hasn’t done his chances any harm either, he’s the better outfielder compared to Kishan and has still been the designated keeper in the last two games which means he has leapfrogged the latter in the keeping hierarchy which I alluded to earlier in the West Indies series. I’m not sure who you’d drop from the WT20 guys to get him in honestly.

SKY hasn’t really done anything notable in ODIs to be the first choice so far

This is what concerns me. The selectors might consider SKYs T20 form and try to have him leapfrog Iyer.

Looks like South Africa have an infection running through their camp. Three players ruled out today, may be this will have an impact on the match today fitness-wise?

Well, they took them to weird place tbh. Lucknow, Ranchi and then a major city like Delhi. Even the T20 were played in Tier III cities and I'm pretty sure our hotel infra isnt as sound in those places. Cant blame them.
