Venues

yWnZ03F.png

Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai
One of the most bounciest surface in India with a run-fest on offer. Slightly slower at times.

rajkot-stadium.png

Saurashtra Cricket Association, Rajkot
This has been a high scoring ground ever since it's inception along with a long bondary and a fast outfield. The pitch over here has consistent bounce but not as much as that at Wankhede or Pune pitch

Chinnaswamy.jpeg

M. Chinnaswammy Stadium, Bengaluru
Known as a bowlers graveyard the Chinnaswammy is one of the toughest grounds to bowl due to its short boundaries and it being located at a higher altitude there is always a chance of the ball sailing into the crowd due to the wind. Also a fast outfield further pushes the balance towards the batsman. The pitch has consistent bounce allowing the batsman to hit through the line of the ball.

Hope this series will be as good as expected, I predict a 2-1 win for the Aussies.

Really interested in seeing how Labuschagne plays. He has been one of the top performers in domestic 50 over cricket and arguably is better there than in first class cricket.

Both teams shooting themselves in the foot by benching Saini and Hazlewood for the much worse bowler just because they can bat a bit.

Personally, I would have preferred Hazlewood over Kane but I'm guessing he was picked because of his ability to change his pace and use of slower balls and cutters while Hazlewood is an full blown swing and seam bowler, which doesn't look like it'll help him much here

Why is Dhawan getting a go again ? Friendship favors from the captain? The Rahul - Rohit worked perfectly in the last year especially with Rahul attacking from the get go unlike Dhawan who eats a whole lot of ball and struggle to get going early on.

Mind you this is Indian batting at full strength and they can't even manage a 300 even at batting paradise of Wankhede. India have made a mockery of their batting today. :facepalm

Real test for the Indian bowlers here. I would be surprised if we pull this one off.

Australia look a class above India at the moment. Completely unrecognizable to the ODI side that got whacked by England two years ago. Take a bow Justin Langer. :clap

Why is everyone so surprised about how well we are playing? Recently we've turned our form in the complete opposite direction in white ball cricket and in my opinion,Finch and Warner have been one of the most dominant opening pairs in ODI since 2015. India however have been playing West Indies, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh for the longest time now and have now been faced with a team of equal, maybe even greater skill. Without a doubt England is still the best ODI in the world but I believe that Australia is a better team with everyone fully fit because as shown in the World Cup Semis vs NZ, if that top 4 is out early, the game is over.

India needs this thrashing lately tbh the kind of ODI cricket has been pretty much outdated - over reliance on top and quite sedate style start.

But then again with Duo if Shastri - Kohli at helm I am not sure anything substantial would considering they are doing the exact same thjng over and over again.
