avi to dvd

Im trying to burn some .avi videos to a cd but it says there the wrong format and cant be burnt.
Are there any programs i can use to put them all on a DVD?

I was told winavi could do it but for some reason that wont work on my computer and just keeps locking up so are there any others that will do what i want?

If you have Nero, there should be a program in there to make DVDs.

Thx found the program that comes with Nero.

Only problem i have with it is i can only choose to burn at max speed and it ends up choppy when i watch it.
Need to burn it slower.

u need a better quality CD-R, with high burning speeds

One advice is - Buy Philips DVP642 DVD player. It plays almost everything you throw onto it. It plays DivX AVI's and much more... Its very cheap too for just $50-60 (buy online). Its a really good investment to make!

I never have the need to convert my AVI files. I burn my AVI's onto DVD and play them on my DVP642 player. They play AVI's superbly!
