Should be a closer test series based on current form. Bangladesh will fancy their chances. However the ODI series might not be so close. I think we'll have to wait and see how NZ fair against the Aussies.

I think the NZ conditions maybe difficult for them to cope with, but if we were playing them in Bangladesh we wouldn't have such a great chance. NZ's test record overseas is the main problem. At home we seem to be a little bit better.

Gutted that Shahriar Nafees has been dropped from the ODI squad. He is by far the best Bangladeshi batsmen, and it's a shame he has been in terrible form since the World Cup.

Two charity matches have replaced a tour match to help raise funds for cyclone damage in Bangladesh.

The curtain raiser is a game between A Masters XI of some kind containing retired International Players vs the New Zealand Under 19's.

The main event is Bangladesh vs New Zealand with Stephen Fleming playing in the match as captain.

The pitches in New Zealand are tough to bat on. I think Bangladesh will get destroyed by the pace bowlers early on.

They better pray Bond is not fit or on form. All their batsmen will be in risk of getting their toes crushed.

A One Day warm up was washed out. Northern were batting first and were 173/7 with 9 overs remaining.

Al the Bangladesh bowlers had similar bowling figures. No real standouts, just a good allround team effort.

Scorecard

Masters XI to play the curtain raiser Twenty/20 fund raiser against the Under19's is:

Dion Nash (c)
Mark Bailey
Grant Bradburn
Ian Butler
Matt Horne
Andrew Jones
Peter McGlashan (added for Marshall who was added to the masters XI)
Adam Parore
Justin Vaughan
Kerry Walmsley
Matthew Hart

New Zealand X1 team to play angladesh in a charity Twenty/20 on Sunday: Stephen Fleming (captain),
James Marshall
Jamie How,
Peter Fulton,
Ross Taylor,
Scott Styris,
Gareth Hopkins,
Jeetan Patel,
Tim Southee,
Michael Mason,
Iain O'Brien.

I guess it's cool. Southee is a really exciting prospect for the future. Really young, still in his teens. Ryder also a great prospect. Looking forward to seeing those two. I'd rather see someone other then Styris and O'Brien though.

EDIT: Ryder out with injury. Bad luck to him, I'm disappointed I won't get to see him. James Marshall replaces him.

Stephen Fleming will lead the Black Caps one last time.
Can't wait for that match though.

Same side I would have picked. Well done. I'd play Martin and Gillespie for the first ODI and if Gillespie doesn't perform, i'd play Patel for the remainder. Gillespie's pace and death bowling will be much more effective against lesser players. Martin's pace and in-movement should also be too much. I'd say they'd handle Patel easier.

Battingwise it's a bit of a jam. Fulton is another number 3 or 4. I'd probably go for:
McCullum
How
Sinclair
Styris
Taylor
Fulton
Oram

Sinclair deserves another crack at 3.
