Bangladesh Tour of India 2019 Discussion

Who will both T20 and Test series?

  • Total voters
    10
  • Poll closed .
Actually Total Delhi is polluted what the Board can do besides changing venues? But since it can make losses BCCI does not. They can wear masks or similar while playing but that would signify how polluted our capital is and govt did not take any strict measures before in front of world

Sometimes its really unfortunate though people know about pollution ,global warming they pollute environment and dont think about others and future

You got 50 other International venues in your Country why not look towards them ? We all know that Delhi is polluted like hell then why do you even want to risk your players and the players of the visiting side ? Losses can be sustained against loss of reputation atleast. Indian side is one of the most followed teams in the world and for such a team do you think it is good to have matches where there is a risk to player's health ?

They should never choosed this venue as we long know how delhi is polluted and after somedays winter smog will worsen condition.
Our reputation will also go down in front of world

Why they choosed the most polluted venue? I think they dont pay heed to anyone except $

Also as people we should also take care of environment before it becomes too late
Think Guys if like Delhi all places become what will happen?

Some very important Bangladesh vs India updates:

1.BCCI worries now about match at Delhi match even after taking permission from Delhi Pollution Control Board
Delhi Pollution Control Board said at match day it would be good but predictions say wont.
Unfortunately though BCCI concerned over players health due to lack of time they dont have Plan B

2.There are some ill-minded people who constantly try to sabotage Ban tour to India and cause BCCI loss
says BCB president

A quote from article:
Asked to explain in detail why he thought so, Hasan has expressed his suspicion in the manner senior opener Tamim Iqbal has pulled out of the tour citing his wife's delivery as a reason after initially agreeing to only skip the final Test.

3.India proposes day-night test

Guys What you think about this?
Hope this is not rule violation as I posted no link just facts related to Ind vs Ban

Actually I try my best to post error free and dont violate rules but sometimes unknown errors happen and I will never make same mistake again or the mistakes I learnt from others

Important Update-1:

Bangladesh’s Test and T20 captain Shakib Al Hasan was on Tuesday suspended for two years by the International Cricket Council (ICC) for not reporting a corrupt approach, ruling him out of the tour of India which starts November 3.Shakib has been handed a full ban for a year and a 12-month suspended sentence.
He will miss next year’s Indian Premier League and also the World T20 to be held in Australia from 18 October to 15 November 2020.
The 32-year-old was being kept away from team’s practice on ICC’s instructions. The series against India comprises three T20 Internationals and two Tests.

“I am obviously extremely sad to have been banned from the game I love, but I completely accept my sanction for not reporting the approaches. The ICC ACU is reliant on players to play a central part in the fight against corruption and I didn’t do my duty in this instance,”
Shakib said in a media release of the ICC.

Two years ago, a bookie had approached Shakib with an offer before an international match, which he did not report to the ICC’s Anti-Corruption and Security Unit (ACSU).The ban will compound the Bangladesh Cricket Board’s (BCB) problems ahead of the tour of India.

In his absence, senior-most player Mushfiqur Rahim might lead the team in Tests while one among Mahmudullah Riyadh Mosaddek Hosain is set to be the skipper in the three T20 Internationals.Shakib recently spearheaded a players’ strike before calling it off after the BCB assured that their demands, including a pay hike, will be fulfilled.
He is unarguably one of the greats of the game in Bangladesh with more than 11,000 runs and over 500 wickets across three formats.

Bangladesh hopes nearly dommed without Shakib al hassan

Important Update-2

The Indian cricket team will play its first-ever Day-Night Test match here against Bangladesh, BCCI President Sourav Ganguly said on Tuesday, ending days of speculation surrounding the game.

“It’s a good development. Test cricket needs this push. I and my team were bent on it and thanks to Virat (Kohli) also, he agreed,” Ganguly said.

We are going ahead with the first T20I despite hazardous playing conditions with Air Quality Index being 472 !!!!

I knew this before in news but did not posted actually due to lack of participation

We are going ahead with the first T20I despite hazardous playing conditions with Air Quality Index being 472 !!!!

Update-1:About Pollution

A dull, poisonous haze hangs grimly and steadfastly over the ground. The smog is a smokescreen between the touring Bangladeshi cricketers, some of them out training in the middle with pollution maskson, and a handful of media and broadcast personnel peppering the periphery. They are all trying to see past their stinging, watery eyes. It's easy, after all, to ignore the occasional cough and spittle when talking about, watching or playing cricket. India and Bangladesh play a T20 International match here on Sunday and it's time to carry on gamely.

On Friday, Delhi's air quality dropped to "severe plus", termed "emergency" levels. Schools were shut. A public health emergency was declared. It is official: the city's air has become a toxic cocktail and the general advisory is to avoid "undue and prolonged exposure" and "minimize unnecessary travel", forget about playing a game of international cricket.

Update-2:About Player Injuries

Stand-in India skipper Rohit Sharma has been cleared to lead out the side against Bangladesh in the first T20I on Sunday, after an injury scare on Friday when he was hit in his abdomen during a practice session at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.
Rohit, who was getting throwdowns from batting coach Vikram Rathour and Sri Lanka's Nuwan Seneviratne at the nets, left the net practice session after he was hit.The 32-year-old quietly left the nets and didn't take part in further practice session.
In the absence of Virat Kohli, the onus of batting lies mainly on Rohit, who has been in prolific form in the recent times.

However, it was later confirmed in a communication from the team management that he would still be available for selection for the first T20I.
"Rohit Sharma was hit in the left side of his abdomen while batting in the nets today. The BCCI medical team has confirmed that he is fit and available for the first T20I after assessment of his injury," it read.

It will be good if members engage in post and inform whether it is interesting or not
which will encourage to post more and move forward

Shakibless Bangladesh will not be the same side we know. Plus they are playing against india at their home turf, with pollution making it harder to even breath. I cannot expect Bangladesh to come up with a miracle here, though I wish there would be one.

Fortunately no rain forecast also will make bangladesh helpless as they must wanted match be called off anyway and level series
They must be fearing white-wash and praying for matches to be called off atleast 1 to prevent white-wash

I have said it many times that our batting line-up in T20Is is very average and we don't have batsman who could strike the ball well and score at 150+ right at the word go. And this is where a team like Australia has the advantage as they have got 3 such batsman to do so.

Yes we lost T20 world cup finals,semi-finals everything when we bat first
You are correct only T20 world cup win in 2007 due to brilliant bowling and 2011 WC
In ODI also we lose most if we bat 2nd like ICC champions trophy final,2015 WC semifinal etc
Actually we blame the toss and conditions when we lose thats the real problem

To actually be champion we should be prepared for everything simply we cant depend on toss
This is problem of current players which need to be improved

This has been one of the weirdest T20 inning I have ever seen. Apart from Shreyas, no one has shown any intent so far in this game. Yes, I know the wicket is sticky and the ball is not coming onto the bat easily but it is ridiculous to see how they have played so far.
