How come Bazid Khan has never been given a chance? His name never comes into the squad though we require a middle order batsman. He has got a high score of 66 in just 3 ODIs and has been given only one test match!

Bazid Khan has a good orthodox batting technique and equable temperament which have helped him score heavily in domestic cricket in Pakistan . He was part of the national Under-19s when he was just 15, and rather like his father Majid, used England as a finishing school. He played in the same Brighton College side as Matthew Prior that won 20 matches in 1999, and two years later spent some time on the MCC Ground Staff. On the fringes of the full Pakistan side for some time, Bazid averaged over 70 at home in 2003-4, and was finally blooded in a triangular one-day tournament early in the following season.

Runs on flat pakistani tracks against a lot of substanderd bowling attacks doesn't count for much. Consequently, the selection process is pretty random.

He's like Misbah. Very good in First Class but not very consistent. Also, look at how Mohammad Yousuf and Younus Khan play swing/sweam/bounce. THen look at misbah. He was all over the place. These sorts of players are good on flat tracks when you can hit through the line of the ball, as manee said.

If he had showed signs of good technique against quality bowlers then he may have gotten more games. Maybe he was technically incorrect and so not a good prospect at International level. There is a HUGE difference between domestic and international cricket all over the world, but the difference is even greater in the Sub-Continent.

Bailal Asad is better, good

.. you'd only know if you played street cricket with him ;).
