BBC Grandstand (Final Show)

The last Grandstand is shown tomorrow on BBC2.
It started 49 years ago and has had some of the
most memorable moments shown on it like the 1966
World Cup Final. I didn't appreciate it as much as
other people because I can watch my favourite
sports on Sky rather than Ski Sunday on Grandstand:

Looking through the sports they're going to offer, there is nothing different anyway. All they've done is take the name away which seems....well, pointless!

Was going to post a Grandstand v World of Sport as a new post....but found this. Basically....for me anyway as a kid....you watched what was on television because it was what dad wanted to watch.
So dad was predominantly a Grandstand viewer (especially for footie/rugby/The Grand National and final score footie results) but would switch over to World of Sport for the wrestling.

Where did your sport viewing allegiances lie?
