Best batting technique

Which player do you think has the best batting technique?

You must check that
1. The player should be very orthodox in shot selection, defense, etc.
2. Don't mind if he is defensive or aggressive, neither care about averages.
3. The player should be able to play all types of deliveries - short,full,swinging,spin,...
4. If he plays only one or two unorthodox shots, never mind.
5. Must concentrate more on 'timing' than 'power' on strokes.

Im going with micheal vaughan. Great technique, shame he hasn't been scoring too many other runs though!

Vaughan for me. Altho Tendulker is a better batsmen.

Talking about technique...Rahul Dravid has the best technique followed by J. Kallis.

As far as style goes (if I may add) Brian Lara is the best... period.

im sorry but i have to disagree with you. Dravid is currently backing away towards leg stump and kallis' technique is no better than vaughans.

Lara hay have style and bags of talent, but techniquely incorrect. Weight should go towards the ball not away from it.

Im an eng fan but i enjoy watchin the aussies play because of the cricket they play.

Plus micheal clarke and brett lee are like modrn players completly different from the snobs that used to play the game or like the members at lords.

I don't really know the best batting technique now, but the best I've ever seen is Mark Waugh. He was so elegant with his stroke play. The best in the Aussie team would be Clarkey or Marto

sachin tendulkar is ....?cant call him the most technically sound one though...how about sehwag
