Ok, I know these get done periodically, but I don't think one has been done for a while, so I thought let's do a new one

The question is, which Cricket 'arcade' style game has been your best of all time, though the way I look at it is, which game has given you the most enjoyment, as the best (in terms of graphics, features etc) are always the latest releases.

For me, it is still Brian Lara 99 on the pc. Once it was admittedly patched, I spent hours of my life every week playing tests and ODI's. The number of stadiums was unrivalled (still to this day probably), the ambient sounds were relevant dependant on which part of the world you was playing in, and the 'look' of the game, especially when using bowing cam just felt like cricket.

Brian Lara 99 is still unrivalled, but both the new games (EA 05 and BLC 05) are quite good too and I am enjoying them both. For multiplayer, I had a lot of fun with my friends on EA 97ATE, but I have not been able to try multiplayer on the new games so I dont know.

Brian Lara 99. It took cricket games to a new level.

To be honest they (sadly) haven't moved much further on since, just a few tweaks here and there (mainly graphics)

Never had the joy of playing BLIC 99, but with a Radeon X800SE cricket 2005 has to be my favourite.

I was tempted to say Brian Lara Cricket 99 but I think it's Cricket 2005 for me...although it has bugs, the patches/mods made here rectify a lot of the problems and there's more competitions etc.

BLIC is fun but very limited :(

All we really need is a line up editor now and I'm really contented ;)

Brian Lara Cricket 1999. Unfortunately I can't play it on Windows XP.

I voted Other, because the most enjoyable cricket game I ever played was EA SPORTS ICC Cricket World Cup England 1999.

The bat and ball physics were awesome.

Just to give an impression of Brian Lara Cricket 1999. I used to play it on Playstation. It costed it time to play the game good.

After that I played Cricket 2000 or Cricket 2002 (don't remember which one) and I was quite shocked about the easiness of the gameplay. There are a lot of things in EA Cricket series that makes the game easier then in Brian Lara Cricket 1999.
