Aaron Bird, the New South Wales fast bowler, has been reported for a dubious bowling action. Bird's action was noted by the umpires Dave Orchard and Terry Keel in the Ford Ranger Cup match against Victoria on Sunday.

He had already been mentioned by the umpires Steve Davis and Norm McNamara in a one-day game against Queensland in October and under the Cricket Australia procedures that means Bird must be reported. His action will be analysed by the Australian Institute of Sport biomechanics laboratory in Canberra.

Well at least it's been picked up early, I really liked the pace Bird had but seems like that was cause of his action. Hopefully he doesn't lose too much pace when he gets his action redone.

I reckon his action is fine! I dont see what the problem is?

I had a feeling I would see something like this in his career. Don't know if it was his action but he use to have good swing.

Anyone read the bit about what happened in the 20-20 when he wanted Flu as his nickname?

CA decided to not go through with it as it offended the main sponsor KFC :D
