Hi guys. I'm completely new to the ICC series and fairly new to cricket in general. Holding up pretty well at the batting end, but my bowling is terrible. Any hints? i have particular trouble judging the effects of length and over/around as well as changing aggression levels for different circumstances. thnx in advance, this great game has me keen to improve!

Look at the batsman's profile and look at their preferences. Then bowl to their non-preferences. ( I hope non-preferences is a word)!

As Ralph said bowl to their non-preferences like lenght and if they like the off side bowl more middle and leg side, and sometimes if they like spin bowl pace. Hope that helps mate.

no, i dont think it is lol but we know what you mean,

i normally only go to the non-preferences!!! of batsman when they are settled, a good length on off stump is a good place to start with attacking fields when you have a new batsman at the popping crease, then as he is geeting settled move the field out, then finally bowl to his non-preferences :p, also try round the wicket

lol, whenever I need a wicket, I bring on Asif and Afridi - always works for me

And I almost never change my aggression levels for the bowlers, once its set during the innings, i leave it - same with the field

thanks for the tips guys. I finally had a county match not draw! So annoying setting impossible targets and not being able to take 20 wickets in 4 days. cheers everyone!
