I have started this thread because I thought people would like to talk about the bowling in Cricket14 as I noticed that there are no threads for bowling.
So what will you use spin or pace???

It was there in AC09 just not as evident.

In the first over of the match, if you bowled a few out-swingers followed by a full-length in-swinger late in the over, it often resulted in an edge or bowled.

Same for spin bowling, keep bowling the top-spin for an over or two and then one regular spin delivery. If the batsman is new to the crease, he would quite often play a wrong shot or miss the ball completely.

If only they would not run themselves out

Post the beta patches, it wasn't as much of an issue. But the middle order's performance almost always paled by comparison to that of top-order.

It's just that I still enjoy playing AC09, hence the discussion. But yeah, not the right place for that.

@Fast bowling AR:
As per Ross's posts, it seems bowling fast on a regular basis will result in fatigue and makes the player more prone to injuries. It, I believe, will be quite realistic as you don't see any fast bowling ARs these days who can enjoy a relatively injury-free career. If you ask me, there aren't many genuine Fast bowlers, leave alone ARs, in that category these days.

So, I guess I'll just stick to being a medium pacer with a talent for lower-order batting.

I'm not sure if you will be able to choose where you bat.

Yeah, but the common sense says, if you aren't much good with bat, the captain is just gonna put you in the tail. That's all we can go by unless Ross shares some insights.
