Millions of fans were shocked today as legendary Bitters batsman brad352 convened journalists from around the world to discuss his surprise retirement from professional squash. When pressed for an explanation of the sudden end to one of the most decorated careers ever seen in the sport the star was frank, stating "I really couldnt be bothered anymore". brad352 is believed to be planning on dedicating his newfound free time to reviving his stagnating career with the Bitters, hoping to return to the heights of 2006, which saw him decorated as the best player in the competition in a golden period where he represented possibly the most feared opponent in any sport worldwide. Teammates were reportedly estatic at the news but declined to comment; former Bitter squiz stated "Well he's the type of player we all want to be isn't he? They'd be stoked and so should they be, he's only been paying lip service to the game for the last couple of years but if Brad has the desire back they're a monty to go all the way again." Opposition captains were unavailable to speak, believed to be bemoaning the news over a generous amount of drinks at local pubs around the country.

Sad indeed, you were such a good squash player :p Atleast I can still make good cash on you making a duck in our next match :)

Why? Because he's Brad!

You give up Squash one day. It will soon be Grog the next.. Its a downward spiral for you, I can see it now.

When I saw the thread title I thought you'd retired from cricsim, so I hardly cared. But on further examination, squash!!! Don't let that talent waste away, you've got a real future in the sport. Cricsim will always be there for you (rumour has it that cricsim games aren't actually real), but your squash won't. When your ageing bones are no longer able to whack a little black ball against a wall you'll be regretting these years you've wasted on cricsim. Seriously, think before making a rash decision, although it could be too late, as I honestly didn't care enough to open the thread earlier.

We are going to miss those countless hours you spent trying to hit that squash ball against a ball with a stump :D
