West Indies cricket has been on a steady decline over the past decades, the once feared bowling attack is now nothing more than bunch of pie chuckers. Gone and the days of Holding, Garner, Hall and Marshall striking fear into the hearts of batsman. More recently we saw the great West Indian Spirit of old held together buy Ambrose and Walsh, but now they are also nothing but a distant memory.

Richie Roberts has been named the new coach of West Indies cricket. Is he the man to bring West Indies cricket back to its former glorious self? Only time will tell.

Brain Lara puts his support behind Roberts

I am sure Roberts is is a great coach and we are all 100% behind him. We are all looking to move forward and try to emulate the success of the past starting with our up coming tour of pakistan.

Actually Main problem with windies is inconsistency.. Gayle some times get huge score and sometimes shocks every one with getting nothing! Same thing applies to key players!

Anyways Gud Luck with the story :cheers also Gud Luck to Windies :)

West Indies slump to a disappointing draw against Rawalpindi
77740347eg2.jpg

In the tourists opening and only tour match before the start of the Test series the West Indies were unimpressive in a drawn 3 day match against Rawalpindi. After losing the toss and fielding, the tourist got off to a supurb start having the tourists 6 wickets down in the first two sessions, thanks to some tidy and tight bowling from Bravo and some handy wickets by Dave Mahommad.

However a massive fight back from Ul Haq 249 no and Mahmood 46 saw the locals post an impressive 433.
sp2.jpg

A poor batting display from the windies saw them bundled out for a ordinary 339 with one session left in the match, stand in captain Sarwan was quick to deflect any negitive talk about his side, claiming it was about experimenting and get a few answer before the first test. Then questioned if he found the answers, he quickly and confidently said "yes, thats all for today, i thank you for your time".
