hey buddies i can't remember my yahoo password i have it saved on yahoo messenger and i don't remember my personal data on it either.
i can go online and check my mails through yahoo messenger cuz it has my password saved i tried to change my password but the thing asks me to login and i don't remember my account password.
is there any way i can retrieve my password back?
it has nothing to do with hacking anyone else account its all about my accouny i can't lose my account cuz thats the account i used to register myself at planetcricket.

We can change your registered e-mail address easily enough. In fact I think you can do it yourself through UCP.

have u tried searching for the cookie in your Temp IE folder.
C:\Documents and Settings\{user name}i\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files
usually the passwords won't be listed there but worth a try, look for the yahoo.com cookies.

On the yahoo mail login page, there should be a "Forgot your password?" type of link.

Cookies don't contain your password do they? (unencrypted) That would be pretty unacceptable security imo.

I dont think you'll find it, if it is stored in your cookies it will be encrypted. Cant you just apply for a new password?

Yeah actually they do not. I just checked but if the password is stored in your compter, there is way to retrieve them. If only I could remember where I read about it.

Here you go mate, this works like a peep, just do the installation first and run your Yahoo messenger and let it auto-login.

Yeah actually they do not. I just checked but if the password is stored in your compter, there is way to retrieve them. If only I could remember where I read about it.

this fix only shows my msn messenger password not yahoo?
i can apply for a new password unless i could remember my personal data on that one i don't know what zip code i used and stuff.

I showed mine straight-away. Try running Yahoo with signed-in and MSN shut-down.

I also just checked, i think it only displays one messenger at one time. Try re-installing and only running Yahoo in the background.

my friend remembers my personal data on it, she just emailed me all my data
date of birth personal answer and stuff now i am good.
