Career player questions

I just got the blic 2005 cd some two days ago i had played earlier on my cousins x-box and i liked the graphics quite much. My only problem is now im playing on my pc and i have increased my career player stats to the max both bwling and batting. How do i increase fielding and how in the hell do increase my pace. Can any body help me plz. The manual does not say much about how ur pace can be increased. plz tell me how to do that because at this point my stats are not increasing even when i take wickets there is no place to increase the stats as they are full. What should i do.

Pace only goes up to about 81-82 mph at most . To increase fielding make your Career player wicket keeper of the teamhe plays for, and against him. Let the ball go through to him and give him lots of runs outs.

Get a 100's, 50's etc.. would increase Batting.

Catches, run outs and possibly caught and bowleds increase fielding. Try putting your player in the slips, but make sure you give him lots of catching ability

Apparantly pace is limited if you choose all rounder rather than bowler.

My career player is a bowler and I set his felding possy as slip but he still feilds at fine leg.
and when he bowls he always drops c & b chances.

If you do a manual setting in the field, you can move him where you like. If you want to improve his catching stats (that'd fix your prob) and you have 2 controllers (or 1 controller and a keyboard) just play yourself and make your player keeper. Then send the batsmen running when the ball gets through to the keeper and he will run them out, giving you fielding points that can go towards catching.

what are the specialist skills?

I don't think there are any SKILLS, per se. Its just their max ratings. Batsman: 100 batting max, 60 bowling max. All-Rounder: 80 batting, 80 bowling. Bowler: 60 batting, 100 bowling (all can have 100 fielding).

But still if your career player is a fast bowler, the pace is limited (65 to 66 kph) even if he gets full bowling points. i think it is a bug in BLIC.

Let me clear this up, the pace is limited to 70 mph, (not kph!), if the fast bowler is an all-rounder. The pace is a lot quicker if he is a bowler.

you start off as a fast bowler bowling 4o mph tops you seem to get gradually faster as you get better
