can ponting be replaced? he's no more in ODI squad now.

Unfortunately he can't be replaced.. we're past the halfway point of the series now, and he's not injured. There goes a bonus player for me after missing my captain for 2 games

I dont think we are half way through, 7 matches are up but Still 8 matches are to be played including Finals. So it can still be done.
Moreover there should be a rule for the players who are ruled out of the series for some or other reasons. There should never be a problem with rested players but IMO there should be a rplacement for the players who are ruled out.

The 3 finals will be created as a separate competition, this comp is only scheduled for the 12 qualifying games, and 7 have been completed now.

There was a post a little while ago about allowing rested/dropped or whatever players to be replaced.. I voted to allow them, but not many else did, so for now it's still only for injuries.

It was always a pain playing with a non performing captain, but the pain will be much more, having a non playing captain.
