Central Contracts

I am quite a few years into a saved game with England. Some of my better players are now too old, but i am having trouble finding new centrally contracted players. Is there anyway i can find them? Occasinally i will accidentally come accross one, but my star rating is slowly declining as my best players get too old.

I have tried searching by first class and odi averages, but there are still players missing.

They can be really obscure, sometimes I find a player on a contract and remember he had a very good season 3 years ago, but has gone off the burner of late. I may send an e-mail to Chris about them, as I find that it doesn't quite work as well as it might, see what he says.

It would be alot better if when in control of the England you could pick the centrally contracted people and able to prevent them playing should you so wish like in real life to rest them.

Did you read my post on the Childish Things forum?

The easiest way to find it I would say is to search through all the county squads with "personal" selected so you can see all their salaries, which shows up as England contracted if they are.

ICC 2006 : 2046 season

I dont know whether to term this as a bug. But I dont know how's this possible in this game. The player in question is Somerset's A.Bond. He's their primary strike bowler getting 70-80 FC wkts every season. For his abilities he should be demanding a salary of 75000-80000. But for the past 4 seasons, I am noticing this thing : [ 34000 ; -1 year ]

How's this possible??? Whats the meaning of that?

That happened a fair bit on that version IIRC. Saw it on some saves only a season or two in.

Yeah, Agreed. Usually we see that - 1 year for one season. But for this player its going on for past 4-5 seasons ...that too, for a primary strike bowler....playing for just 34000.... So, I was wondering how that -1 year is continuing for so many seasons
