Chennai to build world's largest stadium

Chennai has been unluckily hit quite a few times by the rains and it seems to come everytime a match is staged in Chennai.

Well I think England needs these kind of studium because it rains here alot
While we could do with a large capacity cricket stadium I wouldn't want to see a faceless bowl - the Rose Bowl is bad enough - and I especially wouldn't want to go watch cricket in a roofed stadium. I'll take my chances with the rain over that any day.

Yes of course,Ask McGrath How Condition does help to bowler?
I won't love to see Cricket under roof because Weather plays a big part in the game of cricket and under roof you won't feel same excitement, trust me. ;)

Why don’t you tell them the truth instead, that you don’t want a roof on top of cricket grounds so Sachin won’t be able to get his magical powers from the sky anymore. :p

lol.That was sweet usy. :)
But without his blessings no one would have succeed in whole world. ;)

Well, that proves that he'z God (if anyone can get magical powers from the sky, they're equivalent to God:p

I would like to see how a roof stadium can help Chennai avoid the rain that constantly hits it everytime a match is played. I havent seen a match live (on TV!) in a roof stadium. But if it works, I wont mind it because for me, the cricket is important. Not every match (or every day in a test match) needs to be played under roof. Only when the rain hits, they can put on the roof

yeah he's god, that why he craps in the toilet like all of us. :(

retractable roof is a good idea for one dayers....it might ake out the advantage of toss, especially in seasons where we see a lot of dew

There's the Telstra Dome in Australia that's roofed and the ball swings well in there.

dude, it's Australia, anything can happen in the Aussie land, I just heard they have a soccer team, who can actually play the game.

I knows Aussies won't take that seriously, they're too cool to.

out by about 40,000. The Olympic stadium isn't the Sydney Cricket Ground.
Never said it was the SCG ;)

I believe cricket has been played the Olympic stadium, although it is cheating a bit to put it in the list as its not regularly used.

There's a base-ball stadium somewhere in america, which has a movable roof that could open and close to the weather and the climatic conditions;

It is really tough to get it right in another stadium, where as the stadium takes about 1 to 30 {(hours/half-hour(s)} to open and close, and by the time the rain may go away..

so let's no go that far..

lol canada has sky dome its same can open and close depending on the climate
