Commonwealth Bank Series Feb-Mar 2011/12

bowling leg stump half volleys with virtually no cover on the fence for it is pretty consensual if you ask me

If I was Australia I'd consider letting Sri Lanka win, you don't want to be facing a team coming off that kind of win. :D

This is freaking awesome!!!! :D
This is team India for you, we are the world champions!!!

And that is what the Australian team will do as that team is filled with cowards.

oh btw, guess who was on commentary when India won? No prizes for it!

Over 600 runs were scored today day but I'm just happy to be out of that elevator. The atmosphere in there was electric. The power went down to the wire. The stadium lights flashed... and flashed hard!

India defeated SL once and would have won second match if the umpires had had got their counting right. So their is a very good possibility the India will beat Lanka with a bonus point but still may not make it to the finals . After all, India's place in the finals depends on Aussies :D . Hope Aussies beat Lankan's :noway

I guess I seemed to be the only one who believed in India winning with a bonus point .

:D:D

Aussies may not want to face India now, especially with their bowling resources. So don't be surprised if Australia lose to Lanka .

:D:D

I feel sorry for Malinga. Great bowler, clobbered like some ordinary bowler.

Ravi Shahstri looked really pissed at the power issue where he got stuck in the elevator :P
If this happened in INDIA it would have been a international outrage..said by him.
He was pissed that he missed the first 5 overs lmao

Congrats to India for not racking up their 10th loss in 14 matches. Ironic that they'll now be cheering on the Aussie team that has been responsible for embarrassing them the last 3 months, going to make for an interesting conclusion to the series.

God damnit :facepalm

If Australia face India now there is a huge possibilty of India winning the CB series once more .

:D

You guys are just setting yourselves up for more disappointment. Not even in control of your own destiny and think you have a chance of beating the #1 ODI side in our backyard. In 10 matches against us you've managed to scrape just the 2 wins off the last over, while the other 8 matches have been massive defeats by an innings and bonus point conceding margins. Kohli found some form, but everyone else is a dreadful as they've always been.

Glad I didn't watch the match from the beginning. If I had I would have turned off the TV after the Sri Lankan innings. As it was, I timed my watching perfectly at India at around 190-2 in the 25th or 26th over. And from there, it was a classic chase if there was ever one.

I think this epic chase will beat that classic Natwest Trophy 2002 Final game in terms of sheer brilliance and dominance of one player: Virat Kohli.

Anyway, Sri Lanka will need to win or tie the next match to go through to the final. A loss will see them packing regardless of Net run rate because India beat them more number of times in this series.

Tournament has suddenly come alive once again. Even if India go out now, it will be on a high.

I think it is reasonable to say that Indian fans will be pretty pleased with this victory regardless of whether India make it to the final series or not. And more players have been coming into form as the series has gone on. And to be honest, we are the World Champions in ODI cricket, regardless of who is the #1 ICC ranked team right now.

On the whole, the ODI series has been a mixed bag and we do admit that, but at least it hasn't been the unmitigated disaster that was the Test series and at least found some replacements for the ageing talents. Now the same kind of revival will be needed in the Test arena, but that's going to take some rebuilding.

You've always been critical of India in all your posts and we got your point long ago, but I think you need to take a step back and allow us Indian fans to celebrate a bit after what has been a pretty special game of cricket. It just seems petty on your part to come out with such kind of posts at this point of time.

Man, you find every way to bash India somehow. You always manage to find a way no matter what the result is. Excellent Trolling skills you got.

/rant.

India scored 122 runs in last 2 powerplays, actually 122 in 58 balls. Quite remarkable effort as I expected.
