Confidence Meter - Another EA gimmick?

Hi

I've been playing this game for quite awhile. I find this batsmen's confidence meter, probably, a sort of an EA gimmick. I feel, regardless of your confidence meter, if you mis-time a shot you'll get an edge or get out. I dont find much of a significance for the meter.

And also, when CPU plays, I could see the meter is soaring in seconds, even if it has not hit many boundaries.

If at all it really works, it is a shame that only boundaries count for this meter to rise. Stay at the crease means more than somef boundaries that have come of edges.

My confidence is low on this meter.

yeah i'm starting to get the same impression.i can still charge the bowlers and hit them for huge sixes quite often with a guy with no confidence and get caught playing a drive as if i hadn't played cricket in my life with a guy with lots of confidence.and it doesn't even work if you've got a guy on like ninty and you autoplay you'll most likely get out on that score.8 out of ten times.
