Nice Chris Judd siggy. I actually like it. The background looks really really good. Just reduce the opacity of the background render to something that makes it faded in the bg. The main render needs some effects for sure. Looks really full with the bg. The text needs to be worked on. Since you aren't really experienced with graphics, maybe use a blue text with 1 px white stroke.

Overall: 8.5/10
