Cricket 19 General Discussion

Still having trouble downloading teams from the community. There seems to be a rather big issue of lagging or downloads freezing up completely. Anyone else experiencing this, or is it just me? Any workarounds? Clearly this game is alive only because of the massive efforts of the community and creators therein. What a huge shame if even that doesn't work properly.

Hi,

Did you guys ever observed AI stepping out of crease and hitting sixes?

I have never seen them doing it till now, is this something completly missing in this game? They hardly gets stump out !

Yeah they dont , something I would like to get AI playing but the different shot range by AI doesnt make me feel like thats something missing..

That's not a bug. They've tuned the AI running. And it's so much better. Before, it was all so dull and boring. They wouldn't even take any risky singles. Now, you atleast have chances of getting run outs.. It's perfect.

what about fielder paused for a moment which caused misfiled/catchdrop along with downloaded stadiums in career mode available as just ground? is anyone noticed that

Yeah I understand there are quite a variety of shots in this game, but its a feature of the game and dance down the ground hitting straight sixes are quite beautiful to watch. Especially as a spinner (in my career mode) its always gives a chance of taking a wicket.

The main problem still seems to be bowling. Against left-hand batsmen the AI RH bowlers still tend to bowl over the wicket and down the legside (meaning lots of easy legside runs) - only later do they go round the wicket and bowl on off stump.

The new leg glance is welcome, but it seems utterly random whether a front leg side shot on the controller produces a pull shot animation or a leg glance animation.

Fielding is generally quicker, but fields change randomly, often producing easy gaps in the field and simple runs. Some fielders are still completely asleep, so it is difficult to judge an easy run or an easy run-out. That may be realistic for village cricket but not for modern Test Matches or T20 where the standard of fielding is now so high.

The lack of outfield catches is still a major problems - so many people have commented on this that it is ridiculous that it hasn't been addressed.

Overall, it is getting better, but it is still a bit of a mess... DB14 unpatched is still superior in terms of gameplay.

Any updates on fielding radar being inverted issue? This becomes feel breaker in the broadcast mode, it would be great if a mini patch or fix can be made for it as its something unlike other issues happens on every ball. I was even fine with the game before the patch but I understand that there were things that needed to be improved but ideally the improvements shouldnt effect the basic features of the game.

Hopefully its not too much too ask. Everybody knows its the best cricket series out there and its just a query and a recommendation.

Why are you not playing unpatched DBC 14 then?

I am and I do. I just hoped that, after 4 versions and 5 months of patches over the latest version, BA may have managed to produce a decent new version. Sadly, C19 is still very disappointing to play due to defects pointed out on day 1.

And thus those who choose to play this game can do as well and derive pleasure from it as you do with dbc14. I have no intention of pointing out why you cannot play dbc14 with pleasure even though I find dbc14 an inferior game to Cricket 19. This is of course the cricket 19 forum.

Subjective Opinion being imposed on all of us by continuously ranting. You could start a conversation with others who share your opinion. Please do spare us the agony.

There is nothing "subjective" about these bugs as everyone who has played the game keeps finding them and pointing them out on here - you just have to read this thread.

As a customer of all 4 editions it is not unreasonable to want to compare them. Why do some people feel the need to defend an obviously buggy game and attack all criticism? If people on here are official playtesters or have a relationship with BA they should declare it when commenting.

I mean if you want to take off your rose-tinted glasses; my overriding memory of DBC 14, even at the end of its cycle, is that two formats of the game were very flawed. I personally think C19 is the best release on day one they've had and remains the best game they've done. Is it perfect? No. But it's in a far better state that their other games at this point. For future iterations, I do hope going forward that BA will focus more on the gameplay improvements and less on the content additions.

I am no playtester or have any relation with BA, except me being a customer by purchasing their games.

You are selective, as you haven't noticed the praise this game has received. Honestly, I have gone back and seen DBC 14 gameplay and it looks so clunky. It was something in the time it came in, but now C19 is miles ahead. The new patch for me makes it a game that I am proud to have. I was and am happy with this game.

Bugs aren't subjective, but your interpretation of them are. You continue to rant and rant, comparing DBC 14 and C19. Doesn't make sense. That's why I say you're imposing that view on us. Please. Please. Please. Spare us the agony.
