Cricket 2004 crash to desktop

I just installed a "Geforce MX 4000" updated drivers and all but it loads the crash back to the desktop i am, so anyone else with this problem or know of a way to fix it?

What graphics card were you running prior to installing Geforce ?

At what point does the game crash to the desktop ?

I was using a 32mb video card but it got shot in a surge so i had to replace it. and it crsh just after the load, befor the main manu

Well, for starters try updating your version of DirectX.

And by any chance, have you shut down the sound card of your system for whatever reason? I ask this because my copy of c2k4 always crashes whenever I switch off the sound hardware.
