Cricket 2004 works on older cumputer!

Hi, I recently started playing cricket 2004 again as it is, in my opinion, better than cricket 2005 in almost all respects!. Heres the thing. I can't start a match on my new computer ie: I can get into the menu & choose the teams but once I start the match the game bombs! However I tried the game on my older computer & it works perfectly.

The only conclusion I can reach is that this is a Graphics card issue. My new PC has a Geforce 6600 GT and the old PC has a Geforce 5500 FX. My problems are compounded by the fact that I'm going on a long holiday & I can only take the new PC!

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

There seem to be a lot of threads about the game crashing like this, but nobody seems to have bothered to reply that they have fixed it (or maybe they didnt).

Did you install any patches or is this a standard install?

Are your graphics card drivers and directx uptodate?

Also try setting the game to the lowest graphics quality with all the effects turned off, if this works then increase your settings to see what crashes it.
