Cricket 24 - General Discussion

There’s also Baldur’s Gate 3 in August and Starfield in September, the gaming calendar is stacked with heavy hitters in the second half of the year.
Exactly, I hope @BigAntStudios keeps the hype by showing something good about the game every now and then. May be a (bug free) nets challenge or a mini 5 over game for free where the gamers can experience the game features to some extent on a small scale before the actual release. Else they will forgotten in the mix.

They have nothing to show .Very disappointing why announce something when there is no chance of it happening.
Why everyone complained of lack of announcement, now there is something to look forward to, let it be crap everyone expected it expectations matched. Let it be awesome game, bananas in mouth of people to improve their potassium levels

Does anyone know whether this is more of an adaption and built on top of the Cricket 22 engine (in that the quality of graphics is the same) with a DLC-esque boost to AI mechanics in regard to bowling, batting and fielding as well as additional licensing

Or are we looking at a major overhaul and a newly developed game with a different feel to Cricket 22?

102 pages in, you'd think we'd know.

Alas, we do not :grinning:

It's a bit of a damned if they do/damned if they don't situation for BA. Do you release a 1/2 baked game in August and patch it AFL style, just to get it into the market before the Q3 onslaught or release a 3/4 baked game and probably still need to patch it, right in the middle of the rugby world cup and AAA game season.

Would have been super better had they released by now on-time for Ashes series and daily patches to make it completely playable and adding of teams and etc.

I’d rather they release the game in the most optimal state on 5th October, realistically you aren’t going to get people buying your game in August anyway if it’s half baked as they’ll rather stay away for the other heavy hitters and come back to C24 once they’re done with it if it is patched by then.

Not at all, the last thing we need is another bug infested cricket game releasing at AAA pricing.
