I don't know in which of the 2-3 threads this belongs but, ahmad shah hasn't been active in MLC/CL 10 as a manager lately despite being posting and active on the site generally. He seems to be too busy in his own league. Doesn't even post the lineups after 2 odd reminders. So, please think before having him as a manager in your league.

Not to be taken personally, Ahmad. You were good earlier though, it's just lately you haven't been doing well. I hope this post makes you to stay active in the leagues you manage teams in and not only in the league which you manage.

Hopefully once the forum sorts itself out the 'Cricket Leagues Simulators Forum' will be visible in this section - formerly the 'Other text based cricket simulators' forum, that used to be buried deeply in the Cricsim section of the site. It has been moved to allow easier access to the resources for simulating leagues. Discussion of simulators with their own forums should continue to go in those appropriate forums.

The old official Cricsim league competitions, including the archive of the National League, PCPL (Stop naming leagues PCPL!), and original PCCL, are now near the bottom of the forums in the 'Cricket Games Archive' section.

There are no plans at this stage for the return/resumption of an official PlanetCricket league.

Just a few tips for the newer members making leagues:

• Good English makes a good league - look at all the top leagues we've seen on PlanetCricket: they all have one thing in common.
• Be sensible - in your thread title, never post a string of exclamation marks. It looks tacky and unprofessional. You also don't need bright colours, big pictures or big text on your index to attract attention.
• If you're not sure, ask - one of the most common mistakes, and one that I expect we've all made, is trying to go solo from the very beginning. If you want support, ask one of the established league managers who will be happy to help you.

Hopefully, that will help you all out if you want to start a league of your own.
