Is Defcon any good playing in singleplayer? What's the AI like, does it give you a challenge? Also, is there a hotseat mode so you can have two player games on the same machine (just get 'em to look the other way) and is this game available boxed (i.e in the shops) or is it download only? I couldn't play online, thanks to my aforementioned, much maligned, accursed monthly limit!!! Evil or Very Mad

Edit: I've just found it on Gameplay for ?15. It would really seal the deal if there was a way to have a two player game on the same machine!! It comes with 'Uplink' as well, what's that like?

I have one...

What is Defcon?

Ok, Defcon is a Nuclear War Simulator, for want of a better description. It is clearly based on the 80's film 'Wargames' in which a computer hacker manages to hack in to the US defense system and almost triggers World War III.

It is, I just need to find out if it's any good in singleplayer, so can anyone help?

I can't sorry...im sure it is...why do u need to know?

I have a miserly 5gb per month cap on my broadband, so I wouldn't be able to do multiplayer, as much as I'd like to. It would just kill my limit, I wouldn't be able to do much else and I play other games other than Defcon, I usually have two or three on the go at any one time.

I don't understand why some people have limits, i don't appear to be limited in any way...and i live in the middle of nowhere, just a small village 5-10 miles from the city... and i have a sweet connection, we are lucky we can even get it here!

BT Option One, amigo! Good speed, (most of the time) but 5gb limit and ?18 a bloody month! Come November, I might well drop them!

I dunno what i am on, its a good speed, so far no limits, and never seems to break down, bearing in mind i live in a small village, where one end has no broadband and the other can get broadband
