Delhi Drag '08

Hi,

My name is Prashant, i'm currently working for an Event Management Company based in New Delhi, India, named "Pentagram Entertainment".

My company has scripted a biking event similar to the "Speed Run" which got held in Mumbai except it will be for bikes only. We have currently named it "Pro Biking 08".(The name may change accordingly.)

It will be a drag race competition and showcase for stunts MAY be allowed if the local authorities give the approval.

We have planned the whole event and are in talks with F.M.S.C.I. regarding the permissions.

Our biggest concern right now are the sponsors for the event. We are in talks with a few companies but nothing seems too positive right now.

If anybody within the PC community can help us find a sponsor for the event, that would surely open gateways for further event like these in the future too.

prashant, if you cant get it even at a forum like xbhp then i doubt
you'll get anything here........

can you give us a rough idea of how much you'll demand from the
sponsors ?? give us the budget estimate and is it going to be an international
event, national or just concerned with the delhi lads ??

Get in contact with drag racing authorities for some tips, if not the authorities then somewhere like Santa Pod. I would try having a look around drag racing websites though, see what kind of sponsors they use.

@jkartik : I know, very disappointed with the lack of support over there. Seriously, that was the place i thought would be more then willing to jump in and help.

@Sureshot : I know what all companies would be interested in this kind of an event. I am posting for help over there because usually its very difficult to get to the right person so if anybody over had some information or some connection with the concerned person in Bike manufacturing companies, motor oil companies, and similar kind of companies, then that would make approaching easier. Thats all.

He would either get $5 deducted on requesting a cheque, or charged Rs. 50 INR for a transfer in the bank account.

This event in Delhi is not good idea. XBHP has been trying hard to get rid of biking gang image so they will not sponsor this at all. Can say it with assurity cos i am XBHPIAN as well.
