Well....Yes, I think this is the Height of Stupidity from EA...I am on a Short Australian Tour...I am frustrated about the concept of the 'Tour Success Rate'...the way it works, i mean.
I defeated the County sides like South Australia, Victoria, Tasmania etc and saw that after every match my success rate would go up by 4%.
When I lost the First test to Australia , I noticed that the Success rate hadnt gone up....Ok...Quite Obvious..I accepted this factor.
Then, I went on to win a Thriller of a Second Test. But when I came out of the match to my horror , I saw the Success rate hadnt gone up.
Stupid enough....When I won my next match against PM's XI, again the success rate went up by 4%...
Now, what is this Stupidity? - You win Side games, the Success rate goes up, You win against the Main International Team your Success rate stays where it was....In fact, according to the 'Rules', the 'Success Rate' should be considered the other way round. Is it another bug?
Can anyone tell me how 'Success Rate' is really determined? Does the above thing mean Winning Side games is more important than Winning a test match or ODI? Now suppose if this Test Series ends up in a 2-2 draw, does that mean I won those 2 games for nothing?
Also How is the same feature in Cricket 2007?
Many of you might feel that I am just cribbing over a silly thing but my main frustration is because I won that Second Test in a Thriller of a Match. Needing 362 to win on a Green Track with about 5 sessions, I went on to make 362/9 from 140 overs. A Painstaking run chase it was. I was overjoyed when Pollock and Langveldt scampered thru for the winning run. But my joy was shortlived as when I came out I saw the Success rate hadnt gone up.
Perhaps, if I had a 'STORY' going , many of you would have had a Major Heart attack
during my run chase for it had all the ingredients of a Thrilling Test match.
Anyway, atleast here's the Final score :
Aus I inn : 296
SA I inn : 112
Aus II inn : 177
SA II inn : 362/9
