difficult to cut

Im playing a test match.Nzl(me) vs Gauteng.

Ive just bought the game today so i may have missed something, but i find it increasingly hard to cut the ball.The bowler always bowls "just outside" or on offstump so i dont have the space to play this shot.I cannot move my batsman further away cause i do not know where the marker will appear so i need to cover my stumps incase i have moved to far leg side to try create the width and ill get bowled by a yorker i couldnt see coming.

Does anyone else have this problem.Leg side shots are easy, driving is easy, but to cut a ball aint.The ball is simply never released far enough outside off stump to give width to play the shot.Anyone else have this problem.

Why cut the ball? A backfoot coverdrive will work...

I have this problem as well. The bowlers, even on easy level, never seem to give enough width to cut. Whenever I try it, I either miss it or it hits the arm or body. I agree with ZoraxDoom but it would be more useful if you could play this shot.

yep i have teh same dam problem cutting is impossible and hooking too i cant do either teh CPU hardly give many short balls this year

you can still cut even though the ball is not short. I done it a few times on medium mode but it is a lot easier to cut a spinner.

its really annoying i see the CPU cut the ball easy when I don't give them and width yet when i try I miss it i cannot hook or pull it doesn't work if you give yourself some room (or rom as Tony Grieg would say) but then it looks pretty stupid 2 metres away from your stumps and showing them there has to be a editor or some sort a way to make the CPU give you some room

I am so sick and tired of playing a straight drive or leg glance the only shorts that I can get runs off

I have had this problem too and have mentioned it in the EA Sports UK forum. So far no solution. Maybe we will have to tweak the stroke settings.

maybe making the bowling marker larger will make the bowler vary his deliveries more?

Only on easy, other diffulties you can move only before the ball is bowled.

bugger only on easy??? but i hate easy coz it chooses your shots for you doesnt it

is there a wake to tweak the normal mode and make that feature form easy in there
