These question are for those who don't have anything else to do man!
Only god knows why I am wasting my time here!I still have a whole month of exam left!

It's a matter of difference of opinion but there are some people in this world who take some of the very important decisions in life on the basis of these things. To examplify this I would like to give the example of a recent news about Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bacchan (Bollywood actors) having problems in planning their marriage since there horoscopes did not match. Now how far is making such important decisions on the basis of these factors justified?

According to me,

Noone knows whts going to happen next....

Everysecond my friends...Suprise visits u....U may expect to happen but it might not happen.... and vice versa...
So predictions not possible...may be accidentally the incidents occuring can be matched with the predictions...like nasterdamus's writings!!!!

But u get advantage of Astrology though...i.e If a good thing is predicted..we will gain confidence that this will happen well... and we will suceed and thus gives mental stability and confidence!!!! At the same way if a bad thing is predicted... we will be alert to avoid it...so it gives alertness!!!!

So with mental strongness, cofidence and alertness we will be able to travel successfully in the life!!!!!

Well this is my opinion...and it differs from people to people!!!!

Cheers
Surendar :cheers

I don't believe in astrology. But I recognize the fact that it is an ancient system and has been tremendously consistent in different countries through the ages (Like Mars is the god of war in atleast 3 major ancient systems - Greek, India & Rome).
Furthermore, it is pretty interesting to listen to Astrologers/fortune tellers try and "justify" their system -- if nothing else it gives unique insights into Pagan philosophies suppressed in the current world. So it may not be entirely accurate, but can certainly not be dismissed as derisevely as you do. Comments like yours are fashionable these days, and one should always beware of becoming too "fashionable"!

Actually, If u search deeper, you will find that ancient vedic texts never related astronomy with astrology.
this trend happened in mughal era form where it spread.
Vedic India never believed in this crap.

Its similar with chinese too.

Now I think that a lot depends on the person who is predicting the things. Many believe Astrology to be a Science ie. it has certain rules and regulations. Those who know it know that it merely calculate the probability of a thing happening or not. Here I would like to add that a lot of factors go into deciding whether an event will occur or not.
But sadly the no. of persons knowing this art is very low and the one's knowing this art wrongly far outnumbers the former ones.
Let me also add here that NO prediction is inevitable.
So my belief here is that if anyone believes in destiny then one can change his destiny by his actions and therefore nothing is destined.

lol ... where you picked up that piece of crap ? Blame all ills and superstitions on the "mughal era", favourite tactic of Hindu hate-mongers and assorted right wingers.

Are you aware that all the mathematical contributions of Vedic India (like the sine of an angle, zero, trigonometric methods, geometry etc) were developed due to religious and ceremonial considerations ? Similar was the case with astrology. The ancients did not strictly partiton knowledge and learning into different fields of study -- everything was interrelated.

Have u ever heard about "Naadi" methods of astrology in India!!!! I ve seen it!!!! It has a peace of leaf...where ur history and future will be wriiten on it..... I dont believe these...One day i went to the place....They took my thumb print...Then they called me and showed a leaf where my name,Birthdate, parentsname, current occupation were all correct and after that verification(i.e whether the details are correct) they proceeded with the future precitions!!!!

I was really taken by suprise when they got my data full just with the thumb print....I even told some of my friends to try this...And they wer also astonished!!!! i ve read several things like this in magazines also!!!!

At one angle...It looks amazing....At other angle it looks stupid.....

But i tell u friends...This is God's creation....So we humans find difficult to understand his creations...thts why God is Great!!!!
