No, You it's not possible to predict the future. On a different subject, what exactly is De Ja Vu?
deja vu: Feeling familiar in an unfamiliar surrounding/situation.
For more info: http://people.howstuffworks.com/question657.htm

Remember certain medical conditions like temporal lobe epilepsy have strong association with it.

Another used parameter parameter is dream. On the basis of dream analysis some predict future! But the only thing that can be scientifically proven on this parameter is your personality and your psychological status.Dream analysis is something like handwriting analysis.
On a scientific basis, dreams are nothing but your unfulfilled desires/fear/wishes! for eg:if you are very thirsty before going to bed you might see a waterfall in your dream!

If you have curiousity to "read" your dreams then you may visit the following sites :

And therein lies the essence of the problem. Since the Aryans are very much part of ancient Indian history.

there are harappans before them dear!
There tech was so advanced that its impossible to believe they existed!

Ofcourse the Indus valley civilization existed before the Aryans. I just meant to say that the Aryan period is also part of ancient Indian history.

And we have very little information about the the religious symbols, iconography, faith and belief systems of the Harappans. So it is difficult to say what they believed about astrology/fortune telling.

The primary reason for this shocking lack of information on one of the 4 most ancient systems of the world( The other 3 being Chinese, Egyptian and Mesopotamian) is that all Euro-American scholarship is very christianity centric. Hence even the Harappan script has not been decoded yet - inspite of the fact that it could provide tremendous insights into many of History's greatest puzzles - movement of aryans, sudden demise of the Indus valley civilization, status of trade and captial 5500 years ago etc etc

It is believed/rumored that many of vedic texts have been taken from harappans by Aryans, who had written them (i believe that they wrote them).

And if u see those vedic texts, they never related astronomy with future prediction.

Its not very clear from that who you think wrote the texts - the Harappans or the Aryans ?

It is highly possible that the Aryans assimilated parts of Harappan faith and customs - the seals showing worship of the Bull and the dancing goddess are cases in point.
But this is in no way a unique or even significant postulate - cultures always liberally borrow from others. Almost all Christian traditions and beliefs have been borrowed from "rival" religions of 1st and 2nd century Rome, Persia and Palestine. A prime example is that Jesus' was born on 25th december -- there is indisputable historical information which says that this was borrowed from a Persian prophet/leader the name of whom I forget at the moment. Similar is the story of Jesus' birth and the events surrounding them. This was found in the 'religion of Isis' which predates Christianity.

This is in no way meant to attack Christianity - but to just underscore the point that a culture has to assimilate other cultures' customs and traditions in order to survive and grow.

However, conspiracy theorists who tell you that the Harappans wrote all the texts which were later appropriated by the Aryans don't have a shred of proof supporting this view.

Vedic texts are still being understood and explored. These are not modern day storybooks which state things in black and white. Instead, they use stories, metaphors and abstractions which may not be at all understood in the modern world. Remember that these were not being written thinking of how people will view them 3000 years hence. Instead, they are literary compositions written with sublime skill and have to be read and deciphered keeping in mind the conditions prevalent at that time.

yeah! too true about christanity part.

Its impossible if u ask me.Aryans might have taken ideas from harappans but i feel its impossible to.Simply because it has been ages since people's lifestyle achieved levels of Harappans. And if aryans had ever invaded them , they would sure have learnt something or 2 from harappans.
However i do believe that aryans took some ideas from harapppans when they wrote Vedas.

You said it man! Its exactly what I think. But the fact is that they have been stated to us in black or white.
Mahabarata is a classic example.(I know its not vedic but its from that era only)

Hey!, I know sanskrit is difficult language!:D Only subject where I was in danger of failing
However its that sublime skill that is causing problems. Some people take them on face value, some take it as pun, some have altogether diff interpretations.

Anyway, Its vedas which make me a proud Indian. However it would have been better if someone had written it in Hindi :D
