I was about to say that, Dan. DPRA, you've voted United in the EPL poll and have posted a pic of you in a United shirt, I think.

I live in South West London, have all my life, so strictly speaking no I don't support my local side. My Mum and her Mum were born in North London so my family supports Arsenal which is why i support Arsenal.

I also followed Brentford and went to a few games but they were always by far my second team so I just stopped taking interest. I still follow every other game.

There's nothing wrong with having a particular liking for another club, but it's when people start saying that they support several clubs equally were I start to disagree with it. I for example support Everton obviously but i've always had a soft spot for Wigan and other northern teams such as Preston, Accrington and Chester, as well as fellow scousers Tranmere. As far as other nations go, everyone has their preferred team from another country. Mine would be the likes of Celtic, Barca, Hamburg, PSV etc etc.

Some of it boils down to the players that teams have. For example, I grew up watching Barcelona with Rivaldo at the peak of his powers so I naturally used to enjoy watching Barca play on Sky. A similar story with Celtic when they had Larsson and I used to look out for Ajax when they had Van der Vaart and then Hamburg when he moved to them. But I hate Real Madrid so that's that.

Yeh, same here. Everton are my main team but I've also got a soft spot and enjoy watching Man Utd, Ipswich, Atletico Madrid (Aguero <3), Rangers (grew up playing Championship Manager 2 when they had Gazza) and of course England. I'd never say I support any of those teams bar Everton and England though, I just follow their results and don't mind seeing them do well.

Oh yeah let's also remember that according to Phil every single person in the world supports ABU as well. Great team.

Well they do, united fans get more stick than anyone. Apart from spurs fans.

Anyway I used to live in Hyde and watched united every week. Then I moved to Blackpool and carried on watching them, everyone there supports United too :D then I moved to Leicester. I do have a soft spot for Leicester if I'm honest, I enjoy seeing them win because I did watch them a fair bit last year because we had a box. but I still saw more of united than them so it's all good. My relationship with Leicesters like this, they win, fair enough, i'm reasonably happy for them, they lose and i can take the piss. Having said that I want them to do well this year because I want a free trip to the play offs

But I hate Real Madrid so that's that.

I hate Manchester United. I actually think they are as stinky as Manure. They are Manure.

But they are better than Atletico. No one can be that bad. They have the worst fans as well, thiefs actually. Criminals would be better.

I'm sure united are very bothered that some sweaty arab hates them.

No you don't. You support Manchester United and erm, Barcelona :S.

Also, Lee, I've only seen you mentioning Droylsden in the past few months, before then all you mentioned was Man U. I'd say a "FULL" fan only supports one club, and you clearly support Man Utd as well. I mean I've got nothing against it, but I don't see how you can claim in the first post "do you support you local team instead of a big money band wagon team...". Just because you don't support your local team doesn't mean you're jumping on a big money bandwagon. Ipswich are my local team, and were actually doing better than Everton when I started supporting them. I support Everton because my Dad does and he encouraged me to. Just because people support a Premier League team doesn't make them any less of a fan than someone who support their "local" team.......

I don't technically 'support' Man Utd strictly speaking.. I follow them, thats all, but I recieved my United shirt as a present off my uncle in Ireland, so thats just before people start trying to say well if I don't support them, why do I have a shirt? That is why..

If Droylsden ended up getting Man Utd in the Fa Cup, I would rather sit in the Droylsden end :)

I used to support Man Utd before my dad took me to a Droylsden game, from there on it was all about Droylsden.

United
United reserves
FC United (keep an eye out for the result) - might start going to a few matches in a couple of years when United aren't playing.

So yeah, I support my local team.

Didn't know you used to live in Hyde Joe? Played for Hyde United juniors for a couple of years.

Why do you hate United m_vaughan? Neither Real Madrid or any of the other 6 clubs you support are proper rivals so I'm struggling to understand why, especially when we haven't tried to tap up one of your best players. I would say ABU but that might get Matthew paranoid.;)

Cricket aside, I support all Chicago teams, the exception being the Cubs, whom I hate more than any other baseball team. I've even been to four Chicago pro games (1 Bulls, 1 Blackhawks, 2 White Sox). I was hoping to make that five next month by going to the Bears v Lions game but that didn't work out.

I support my local football team, Mohun Bagan. There are two local team tbh East Bengal and Mohun Bagan but i support MB :happy

Don't worry WC, we knew you supported your local team. You didn't need to tell us.:cheers
