Former West Indies captain Carl Hooper is set to sign for Lancashire shortly as a temporary replacement for injured overseas player Harbajan Singh.

That will be included, but the domestic season has finished in Australia.

I'll be including domestic new from around the world. A major Indian tournament finishes soon, so I'll give news about that.

The final of India's premier first class competition, the Ranji Trophy finished today, here's the final score.

Mumbai 1st Innings: 260 all out
Tamil Nadu 1st Innings: 271 all out
Mumbai 2nd Innings: 387/7 declared (NS Shetty 100)
Tamil Nadu 2nd Innings: 235 all out (HK Badani 109, SV Bahutule 5/70)

Mumbai win by 141 runs.

News from England

The 3rd round of Englands one-day competition the C+G Trophy took place yesterday. At this stage most of the matches were between first-class counties and minor counties. There were no major upsets, although some came close, but the highlight of the day was Gloucestershire's incredible score of 401/7 from their 50 overs against Buckinghamshire.

Carl Hooper will not be signing for Lancashire as previously reported, as replacement overseas players are only allowed to cover for players on international duty, not while injured.

This news changes remarkably often.....

Lancashire have gained special permission from the ECB to temporarily replace Harbajan Singh with Carl Hooper. Temporary replacement overseas players are not normally allowed in the event of injuries.

Not much news from me :P I think there shud be a club championship like uefa in football. I knw there was one a few years back between Mumbai, NSW, and a south african and maybe Kiwi club. I wud like to see more of those.
