I've been a keen supporter of cricket for a few years now and I became more interested as the Brian Lara series was released. I did enjoy that I could not only watch and play cricket myself, but I could buy a video game where I could play it in my own home, and this excited me.
I played EA Sports Cricket 2007 and was very impressed by the gameplay, and after becoming a member the next year at Lancashire Cricket Club, I was expecting a good game to play in the time I wasn't at Old Trafford watching it. But EA delayed the 2009 game.
Codemasters brought out Ashes Cricket 2009 and to be honest I thought it was awful compared to what EA could have done. It included two teams with all the rights but the others were unlicensed. EA had all International and County/State teams all licensed. And they have the rights from ICC.
So now I ask when will the next game be brought out by EA? Why has it taken so long?
We need a cricket game for the next gen consoles!
