Editing Cricket 2005

I would like to edit parts of this game (example create new bats etc), but I need some help.

I have download EA Graphics Editor and opened up data_pc.gob (which has the majority of the game data, am I correct?), how can I find out what line has what data stored in it? Normally I would use trial and error, but there are thousands of lines of data.
