Hmm I don't get into politics, but i heard some that could be of interest to Chelsea fans. Just glanced at BBC news and i saw the due to this election in Ukraine where they joined up with Russia - the USA & its allies are threatening economic sanctions on Russia, in which they could be freezing the assets of rich Russians close to Putin.

One of those rich Russians is obviously, Chelsea's owner.

4-4-2 diamond is 100% the way to go for England.

Special shout-outs to Joe Allen and Jon Flanagan who were quietly majestic yesterday, alongside the obvious players of the game in Gerrard and Henderson.

No matter what happens from here, I'll savour this season because it's very very very unlikely we'll hammer Man Utd, Arsenal, Spurs & Everton in a solitary season ever again.

------

Laurent Blanc: "Sacking David Moyes now wouldn't be a mistake. If anything, it'd be the right thing to do. In Ligue 1, he'd have faced the axe thrice by now."

Not his exact words, but I read something along these lines...

Also Alisher Usmanov, who owns more than 29% of Arsenal.

balls to that.

his passing/possesion tiikka takka bollocks was just marketing. this is how he always intended to play with them.

No shame in it. Liverpool are a much more exciting side to watch than Barcelona.

I don't know if you can just put it down to marketing, Liverpool were very much getting control from possession most of last season and the numbers did suggest that, and that has clearly taken a hit this season.

It all depends on how Man City finish the season. They still have to play Liverpool, Everton, Arsenal and Man Utd away. If they can win those games then they deserve to be champions.

2 of those games will be sewn up by the end of this month, so we can somewhat get a clue as to what's going down in April/May.

The sheer irony in that is just...

I agree, we are playing a more counter attacking game this season than we did last season, where there was an obvious attempt to try and play the passing game as much as possible. We saw a glimpse of it towards the end of the season when Suarez was banned, and Liverpool were just interested in getting the ball through to Sturridge.
That graphic you show, however is not sorted on the possession percentage for last year.

More exciting to watch than Barca right now or the entire last 5+ years of Barca dominance of EURO football?

Where do you find these ridiculous articles? If you asked every fan of those 24 clubs ''What would you rather? Premier League football next season and higher ticket prices or save a few quid and enjoy the likes of Yeovil away on a Wednesday night?'' They'd all say ''We want Premier League football next season''.

EDIT: Oh and not to forget all that money your club gets for buying new and exciting players.

:lol If you think the article is ridiculous that's fine - this is ENG football season thread & last I checked, one can put anything in this thread that relates, so anyone can state their view on it, just as you have just done.
