I don't know how many of you are following this but this looks to be a solid game. F.E.A.R, as we all know was brilliant and a hit. Well I'm sure this will be a hit too.

Warner have released a SP demo of the game. If you haven't already got it, get it here F.E.A.R. 2 - Project Origin demo download from Guru3D.com

From the little I've played it atm its fantastic. Scares the **** out of you if you play at night and with reasonable volume levels. Try it today, and discuss!

DO DO DO WANT!

Pity my comp can't run it =/

Should get a new(ish) one in a few months though, and then it's mine ^^

I played FEAR at my mates place and I jumped onto the roof on the 4th level XD

Could your computer run F.E.A.R? Well basically because the game's pretty well optimized and I'm getting pretty good framerates. (Around 41 with 1680x1050, 4xAA, 16x AF and everything on high) with a measly 9600GT.

I got the same Video card as you. Pretty impressed so far. Haven't tried the first one but I liked the demo. Although there are a lot of people that have noted problems with the demo and it's overdone. I'll be considering getting it.

Yeah I'm impressed too. It definitely provides better IQ than the first one, yet maintaining performance. Quite like Far Cry 2 but I guess this one will be definitely better. Haven't really seen any proper humans in this game yet though.

That's the fun..;)
I'm planning to pre-order(If availiable) this through a friend of mine living in USA. So far the screenies and demo looked really cool and scary. I'm trying to fininsh of GTA IV so I can fully concentrate on this game when I get it.

Turns out I'm only getting a new RAM and video card, my CPU is still ancient =/

My PC will be able to run this game quite easily. I'll download the demo this weekend. I completed the original F.E.A.R six months back. The game was reallllly scary. I have seen some screenies of the sequel. Looks like a great game, looking forward to it.

This is a bit of a bump. In the original FEAR, at the beginning of the credits it says "In memory of Wen Chi Lee" Now I was intrigued as this would seem a pretty random game to dedicate to the memory of a relative of one of the dev's as it is well.......a bit disturbing for use of a better word? So I did some digging and what I found.....well, it is a bit disturbing as it seems to be one of these things which no one really wants to talk about. Anyway, I found this:

"No one knows who this person is...I did see a post on a Spanish-speaking BB that, as far as my poor Spanish could make out, told quite a horrific story. It seems the poster was as curious as the rest of us, and speaks Chinese, so contacted people in China...the poster eventually recieved a response that 60 years previously experiments of some kind were being performed at a facility, the purpose I believe, was to more quickly bear children for use as soldiers in war. Kidnapped girls were used as incubators (and here the technicality of the story and my bad spanish worked to confuse me, but I'm trying) and the children were taken from the mothers wombs at 4 months (I think) to be artificially incubated...the mothers could then be re-impregnated.
A young girl who had become resistant to the anesthetic managed to cut the tube to her breath-mask, and when the operating room personel passed out, she managed to escape. She was found by farmers, wandering along holding her belly together with both hands. She was taken to a doctor, told her story, and the police raided the facility, finding horrible things there. Her name was Wen-Chi Lee.
This is not my story, it's just the only one I could find...I don't know the truth of it, and as I said, my translation is probably screwed up, as my spanish is enough to ask for the bathroom or get into a barfight, but not much better. But perhaps the creators of this game heard, and then were inspired by, this story?
"

Freaky stuff.....

Played F.E.A.R in a dark room with the head phones on full volume!
I couldn't sleep for freaking days! :(
That creepy lady haunted me in my sleep and that background music would keep playing in my mind. :(
