Fantasy Cricket All Time Standings

Ok, I did for myself just to see where my position was. So this not an official one or so. But I thought I could share it with you guys.

I gave for each win three points, second place two points and third place one point. It was pretty easy to do it.

Here are the people listed who gained points. I left out the other ones. If you want to check the other ones, just check the attachment. If you want to see in a bit better columns, just see the attachment also.

But I am thinking of making a standings (again for myself) were an inclusion in the top three (regardless what your position gives you an extra point). Because being in top three is an accomplishment itself. For example if someone has won the Fantasy game one or two times it would mean he would be ranked the same as someone who has been three or six times third. That doesn't right to me.

In that pointsystem the first one would have: 3*2 (for winning a position in top three) +1*2 (for being in top three) = 8
The second one would have: 1*6 (for winning a position in top three) +1*6 (for being in top three) = 12

Which sounds more right for me since being in top three is very hard.

It's pretty easy to do this. But I am trying to make the other pointsystem.

And I forgot to say that I changed Gamerkid to only one win.

Here are the standings which I called 'three pointsystem with bonus'. The bonus is in referrence for inclusion in the top three. In the attachment I made the columns a bit better. You can also see now how much points you would have got if the normal three points was implented.

I must be the worst picker. Most of the time im too lazy to think so I just pick the big names without looking through cricinfo for form, etc. so I just slap in a team in 1 min max.

ur idea is better, i was also thinking about to create that kinda fantasy league, but as i am not a moderator so i cant do that, but unofficialy u did it, and now i am into ur favour its good to see fantasy cricket in second form (i.e. yours)

That's a lot of hussle I would say. It can be done with Excel, but it costs a lot of time. It's easier with Access, with making links to each other, but I've forgotten already some time ago how to work with Access.

i think u have to use excel for that, cuz its easy u have to only modify 3 colums for that, i have handled many projects like that in past and they all were in excel format. i am bit busy these days cuz working on my site otherwise i was going to think about helping u.

This one is better then currently in the Planetcricket one. Now you can see who have won the most competitions directly.

Only one problem: if you click Placed First, then it only regulates the first column in order. It doesn't order for example the people, who have won it two times, if they are squared. Normally if it's squared on the first places, then you look the rankings of the two times winner in how many times they've been second.

For example:

Rangeela should be highests two times winner, since he has been four times on second place. He would come at number 4 then, and not Akira2291.

But this is better then nothing, so thanks.

I was educated in really advanced Excel, but if something isn't needed to know anymore, you tend to forget. Just like me now. So I don't have a clue how to do it, although I know such things can be easily done.

i would also recommend the second one,it will be helpful in many ways
