The English season is only a few days old, but already we've had the first two first class 200s. Craig Spearman 216 off 168 balls against Oxford UCCE, whilst Alistair Maiden made an impressive 211 not out for Durham UCCE against Somerset. His previous highest score was 53.

i am surprised at durham UCCE's performance, usually all the UCCE teams are rubbish compared to counties!

Isn't Craig Spearman Kiwi? Maybe not. That's a pretty quick double-century. Looks like all these Kiwis know how to hit quick double hundreds.

Yes and no. He was born in New Zealand and has played for them, but he plays in county cricket as a non-overseas player as he has a British passport. He qualifies for England later this year. He plays in New Zealand as an overseas player these days.

Craig Spearman continuing from where he left off I see! 7 sixes in his innings and I think he hit 34 off one over (looking at the stats of one of the bowlers!)!

do you think spearman will get selected for England when he becomes ledible?
ledible?

Once he becomes eligible I doubt he will be picked. Same with Stuart Law, he'd only be picked if there was a serious injury crisis.

I don't mind typos, but that wasn't even a typo, the word you used didn't even resemble the correct word.

Because its good practice. We are not only making the forum more readable but also improving your language. If you are in fact not aware of the correct spelling of the word, is it not helping you to have the correct spelling be shown?
