Foot choice and placement

Ok...I'm batting right handed. Using behind batsman cam. So, I understand that when playing front foot shots pushing L stick up straight chooses placement to ball going straight...up and left to ball on legside...up and right to ball on offside. But then booklet says reverse is true for back foot placement. So does that mean for a short delivery pitching outside off stump, then the back foot placement will be L stick down and to the left!! And L stick down and to the right for short ball going down legside.

Best advice I can give you is hit the nets/match practice followed by playing a few casual matches. DBC 14 is like no other cricket game and has a steep learning curve. There is no hard and fast rule where you have to play a shot certain way and the only way you figure out what footwork and shot direction works for you is by trying it out in the middle and practising it.
